The project of psychosocial support for women and girls who have suffered the loss of a loved one due to the war has been completed
Over 8 months of work, we have achieved important results together:
600 women and girls received psychological assistance: individual consultations, group meetings, art therapy, master classes, seminars;
120 participants restored their strength and resilience during 4 shifts in a rehabilitation camp in Transcarpathia;
a special program was created to restore and support family ties in families experiencing loss;
each project participant received a useful and pleasant gift;
As part of the program, 22 psychologists and facilitators underwent training and received new knowledge and practical tools to help those experiencing loss.
Based on the experience gained, we created a Methodological Guide for Practitioners: How to Provide Support to Women and Girls Who Have Experienced the Loss of a Loved One. It will serve as support for organizations and specialists working with the families of the deceased.
We are grateful to all participants for their trust and openness, and to our specialists for their professionalism and care.
The project was created as part of the psychosocial support program for women and girls who have lost a loved one due to the war, at the initiative of the TAPS Charity Foundation in cooperation with the International Rescue Committee (IRC)
Feel. Act. Heal.
