Serhii Anatoliyovych Shaposhnikov (January 24, 1966 - May 6, 2023) was a senior soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a participant in the Russian-Ukrainian war.
Graduated from Dnipropetrovsk Mechanical Engineering College. He worked as a turner at the Prydniprovskaya TPP, later at a private enterprise. Raised two daughters.
On February 24, 2022, after the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, he volunteered to defend the Motherland. Defended Dnipropetrovsk region, took part in the liberation of Kherson region, was later transferred to the defense of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, took part in city battles, died on May 6, 2023 in battle defending the "road of life", the only road by which it was possible to get out of Bakhmut.
According to the brother: "I once asked Serhiy: "Father", why did you come here, you are not very old, aren't you? And he answered me: "I came so that no one would enter my yard with a weapon!" I never had more questions for him in this sense."
Buried in the village of Lyubimivka.
