TAPS Camp is a rehabilitation camp created by our foundation to support the mental health, psychological relief, and rest of children and adults who have experienced wartime loss or are waiting for their loved ones to return from the war.
children and wives of fallen defenders of Ukraine attended the camps and received comprehensive psychological support during 2023–2025
individual and group sessions with psychologists were conducted at the camps during this period
wellness activities, workshops, and art therapy sessions were organized at the camps
conducted during 2023–2025
At the rehabilitation camp, the primary focus is participants' work with psychologists. Individual and group sessions, art therapy, and psychological practices are conducted. These help to express emotions, reduce anxiety, restore inner resources, and consciously process emotions related to loss.
Morning exercise, walks, group activities, and relaxation. These help restore physical and emotional resources and reduce stress.
For people who have experienced loss, a change of environment, new impressions, and time spent in nature can be the first step toward stabilizing one's inner state.
It helps to cope with loss, as participants feel support, understanding, and shared empathy. This reduces isolation, creates emotional comfort, and shows that you are not alone in your pain.
This number has been determined by the experience of previous camp sessions. In a small group, specialists can devote sufficient time and attention to each participant. This is especially important, as everyone has their own story, their own pace of openness, and their own way of processing difficult emotions.

The psychologists led the trainings very professionally. I felt within myself that I need to listen to myself, to my feelings, and to change something in my life. All the trainings were interesting, deep, and emotional. I felt support and warmth, that we are understood, that it is possible to be yourself. Thank you so much to the TAPS camp organizers for the wonderful rest with my daughter, for the beautiful feelings, emotions, and support.

Our schedule at the camp was exceptionally balanced — there was time to talk about ourselves, work through all our fears, and enough time for sport, creativity, and walks. The numbness disappeared. The team of psychologists supported us at every step; you could always approach them for advice and support. These people are attentive, wise, and very, very kind. I thank God, the organizers, the psychologists, and everyone who contributes such care and work with us — those who have lost loved ones in the war.

Only in the silence of the mountain range did I come to realize exactly what kind of stress had held me in chains for 3 years, and what a great joy it is to be free of it. Thank you for this invaluable experience and the opportunity to become aware of and work through these feelings.

This camp is the best support for children who have experienced loss. Even though most of us thought about not disturbing that wound. We were all able to open up to one another, to share thoughts on topics that deeply concern us. For me, for example, it became easier when I was able to tell my story at the camp.

There were so many emotions… New impressions, memories, new friends. I felt safe and supported. The psychologists were nearby — they helped me calm down, get distracted, and find answers to important questions. It was a time when things truly became easier.

After my father's death I thought that only my life was going badly. But at the camp I understood — even those who seem cheerful and mischievous have also experienced loss. We share the same pain. We could share our stories, cry and laugh together — and that made things easier.

Losing your dad is not okay. It seemed to me that nobody understood my pain. At the camp I met children who had also experienced loss in their family. It is easier to talk with them — they understand me. Here I felt that I am not alone.

Going to the psychosocial support camp organized by the TAPS foundation, I felt anxiety and doubt, as after losing my husband I did not believe I could feel relief. Already from the first days it became clear — it is safe to be yourself here, among women who carry the same pain of loss and the memory of their Heroes. Especially moving was the memory circle, where names, memories, and silence were filled with love and strength. The support of the psychologists and the community did not take the pain away, but helped find the inner resources to live on. I returned home with a lighter heart, with faith, and with the feeling that I am no longer alone. 💛 From the bottom of my heart I thank the TAPS Charitable Fund for this incredible project. Thanks to you, we were given another chance to find the strength within ourselves to feel life again.
