TAPS youth is an association of teenagers, children of soldiers killed in the Russian-Ukrainian war. The community began to form during the first spring shift of TAPS CAMP in 2023, and already within 2 months it expanded among those who could not get to the camp.
TAPS mentors do their best to help teenagers create a space where their opinions will be heard and their ideas implemented. Among the regular meetings of Youth TAPS are days of board games, outings in nature and team building. There are plans to supplement the list with joint hikes, outings, retreats and sports activities.
An important part of the project is the creation of the TAPS Youth space within the TAPS volunteer headquarters. Informal communication is an important part of the rehabilitation of children in living their emotions, especially in adolescence. The TAPS space is a place of freedom for teenagers, where under the supervision of mentors, you can create your own projects, spend time with friends, play board or video games and, most importantly, be yourself. An important feature of this space is that teenagers are involved in every stage of creation: from brainstorming ideas to actually painting the walls.
For its part, BO "BF TAPS" is still looking for partners to hold the following events:
- Weekly events within the Dnipro
- One-day trips around the region
- 3-day nature hikes
- 3-day retreat on the territory of a recreation center in the Dnipropetrovsk region
- Arrangement of youth space
- TAPS CAMP etc
