The "TAPS Foundation" presents practical recommendations for social service workers, created within the framework of the project "Unbreakable" with the support of the European Union and the International Renaissance Foundation within the framework of the grant component of the EU4USociety project. These recommendations are addressed, first of all, to social workers, and may be useful to other civil servants, officials who, in their professional activities, cooperate with the families of the fallen (deceased) Heroes of Ukraine. The recommendations contain information about the phenomenology of experiencing war loss, knowledge of which will help to understand the meaning of specific behavioral manifestations of people in grief, which will increase the professional competence and psychological readiness of specialists for such work. The recommendations also contain specific advice on building effective interaction with the families of the fallen (deceased) Heroes of Ukraine.
The common goal of the authors of the recommendations is to develop measures to create a caring social environment for those affected by the war, namely the families of the fallen (deceased) Heroes, with the aim of socializing and adapting such families.
