Methodological guide for practitioners: how to provide support to women and girls who have experienced the loss of a loved one.
Based on the experience of implementing the project in partnership with the International Rescue Committee (IRC).
The guide will serve as support for organizations and specialists working with families of the deceased, namely: with women and teenage girls. The guide contains recommendations on psycho-emotional states and topics important for family reunification after loss. The project specialists conducted a number of activities, such as: individual consultations, support groups, camps - and added their own experience to the work of other well-known specialists in working with loss, which will help to understand how to help survive military loss and maintain relationships with a teenage daughter, taking into account the peculiarities of the fluidity of this age, taking into account the experiences of families of the deceased in a state of martial law, constant shelling and double losses during the war.
It will be useful for mental health professionals; in group or individual work; in social service centers; in mobile support programs; in the format of accompaniment during initial response; for military psychologists, etc.
The manual has gathered experience and understanding of the process of experiencing loss: both external and internal changes that occur with women who have lost their husbands, the process of parallel progression of adolescence and experiencing loss by teenage girls.
